When to use this action
Use this when you no longer want a product to be available for new subscriptions. For example, you may have added a product to a Subscription Plan Group but have since decided to discontinue it as a subscription offering.
Important: Disabling a product only affects new subscriptions. Existing subscribers who already have this product in their subscription will continue to have their orders processed as normal.
Steps
- Open the Subscription Plan Group the product belongs to
- Click Edit items in the top right of the Subscription items section
- Click the Disable button next to the product you no longer wish to offer on subscription
- Click Save
Notes & Tips
- New customers will no longer see the subscription option for this product at checkout
- Any existing subscriptions that include this product will continue to process orders as usual
- If you want the product removed from all existing subscriptions entirely, contact us at help@getsubmarine.com and we can bulk- emove it for you
Troubleshooting
- Accidentally clicked 'X' on the purchase option on the Shopify product page? This will not remove the product from the subscription offerings in Submarine. Always manage subscription products through the Submarine UI.
