When to use this action
Use this when a customer would like to update the payment method used for their presale order. Note: Customers cannot directly add payment details inside the Submarine UI. The customer must update their details via Shopify using a secure email link.
Steps
- Open the presale order inside Submarine
- Scroll down to the Customer section on the right hand side and click the customers name
- This will take you to the customer section in Shopify, under payment method on the right hand side and click the pencil icon
- Click the “…” next to the customer’s existing card details connected to the order
- Select Send link to update payment method
- The customer will then receive an email with a link to an update payment method page
- Once the customer has updated their payment method, it will appear in Shopify and be used to capture payment when the presale campaign ends.
