When to use this action

Use this when a customer would like to update the payment method used for their presale order. Note: Customers cannot directly add payment details inside the Submarine UI. The customer must update their details via Shopify using a secure email link.

Steps

  1. Open the presale order inside Submarine
  1. Scroll down to the Customer section on the right hand side and click the customers name

  1. This will take you to the customer section in Shopify, under payment method on the right hand side and click the pencil icon

  1. Click the β€œβ€¦β€ next to the customer’s existing card details connected to the order
  1. Select Send link to update payment method
  1. The customer will then receive an email with a link to an update payment method page

  1. Once the customer has updated their payment method, it will appear in Shopify and be used to capture payment when the presale campaign ends.
