If a campaign order is cancelled in Submarine and the customer has already paid a deposit, the refund must be completed in Shopify.
Note: Submarine does not automatically refund deposits for cancelled campaign orders β this step must be handled manually in Shopify.
How to refund a campaign order
- Open the campaign order in Submarine
- Cancel the campaign order
- If the order includes a deposit, open the order in Shopify
- Click Cancel and refund
- Complete the refund flow in Shopify
Once the refund is processed in Shopify, the order will reflect as Cancelled in Submarine and no further action is required.

- Refunds for campaign order deposits must always be processed in Shopify
- After cancelling and refunding in Shopify, Submarine will automatically update the order status to Cancelled
